conclusion
ZenBlocks works with block editor WordPress 6.0 or higher, and supports both block themes and classic themes. Even the free version allows you to create basic buttons, and the Pro version allows you to use advanced functions such as decorations and animations.
general questions

| Thumbnail settings | – | ○ |
| band settings | – | ○ |
| Text animation / icon animation / frame animation / button animation | – | ○ |
| Background video/thumbnail video/band video | – | ○ |
Note: “Background” can be used in the free version, but Video background is exclusive to the Pro version. Note: “Responsive support” and “Show/hide by device” are also available in the free version.
What themes does it work with?
Works with both block theme and classic theme.
ZenBlocks can be used regardless of the theme as long as WordPress's block editor (Gutenberg) can be used.
Note: Depending on the theme, a unique CSS may affect the appearance of the button. In that case, please overwrite the style settings of ZenBlocks.
Which WordPress version do I need?
WordPress 6.0 or higher is required. We recommend operating with the latest version.
PHP version requirements: PHP 7.4 or higher (Operation confirmed also with PHP 8.0 / 8.1 / 8.2)
Can I use it with the classic editor (old editor)?
No. ZenBlocks is exclusive to Gutenberg (block editor). Not available in classic editor.
Will it conflict with other block plugins?
Basically non-conflicting. ZenBlocks is registered in its own block category (ZenBlocks Elements), so there is a low possibility that the name will conflict with blocks from other plugins.
In the unlikely event that a style conflict occurs, ZenBlocks's style settings are output as inline CSS, so the ZenBlocks style usually takes precedence.
Questions regarding Pro version/license
Will my data be deleted if I cancel the Pro version?
Setting values will not be deleted.
- As soon as the license becomes invalid, the front end display will immediately fall back to the Free version.
- However, Pro settings values (animation settings, microcopy text, etc.) saved in the block will not be deleted.
- If you re-sign and re-activate with the same license key, your previous settings will be restored.
Can I transfer my license to another site?
Yes. You can migrate by deactivating the license on the current site and then entering the same key on the other site.
For more information, see [Pro version activation > License management] (../pro-activation/).
Can it be used on multiple sites?
It depends on the license plan you purchased. For details, please check the number of sites available for each plan on the Lemon Squeezy purchase page.
Block design questions
What blocks are currently available?
Button Basic block is available. New blocks will be added in future updates.
I want to reset the block style
There are two ways:
- Override with Preset: Apply a new preset from the Preset dropdown in the toolbar
- Clear individually: Clear the values with the reset button on each settings panel
Can I customize a design preset after applying it?
Yes. Presets only set block attribute values all at once, so you can freely change them from each panel after applying them.
How to set style on hover?
Each settings panel has a Default / Hover tab. Switch to the Hover tab and set the hover style.
Point: Hover status is previewed on the editor while the Hover tab is selected. If you return to the Default tab, it will return to normal display and the Hover settings will be reflected only when the mouse hovers.
For detailed troubleshooting, please refer to buttonBasic FAQ: Styles are not reflected on hover.
